Should i update bios ?

Go to solution Solved by Archangel1994,

You do not need to update the bios. Z97 is compatible with Haswell-Refresh out of the box

Hi

This is my spec :

Mobo : Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 3

Processor : i7 4790

GPU : GTX 970 G1 Gaming

the mobo has the F4 Version

do i need to update the bios or the F4 is already compatible with my processor ?

If i dont update the bios and it's working (booting , playing games, etc)

does that mean i dont need to update and its compatible ?

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861
