So I was playing BF3 recently on low settings, with the case open, a CM Hyper 212, AND using a dedicated r9 270.  And yet, my a10-5800K apu seemed pretty hot, around 75C after a not-so intense part of the game.  Is it still trying to render the game graphically or were the integrated graphics automatically disabled when I installed my 270?  If not, is there a way to disable onboard graphics?  (I use Gigabyte's BIOS Version F1).  Or is this to be expected?  It seems to me that my CPU has been running pretty hot recently on most games.

P.S.  How often should you change your thermal paste?  I've had the same for about a year.

My life is consumed by CS:GO, even though I'm not exceptionally good at it.
