new pc beep

sc0rpion50
My friend just built a new computer he went to boot up and got 3 beep so i told him to move his stick of ram to the other slot thinking it wasn’t in the right slot. He did so then tried booting again but this time got no beep and no post, he then moved it back to the original slot and still got no beep? his components are MSI FM2-A55M-E33 FM2, 7770 gpu, Athlon II X4 740, Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB ram, and corsair m500w psu. I am out of idea trying to help him. What you guys think?

Faulty RAM. Test with only one stick and try again. If it still doesn't work, swap the sticks(use the other one and leave the first one out). If that doesn't work, both sticks are dead or the DIMM slots are dead. RMA the RAM and try the new set.
