my gtx 970 is only getting 35 fps on bf4 on medium settings, iv updated the drivers have a pretty good cpu, being the i5-4690 haswell, i dont get it any advice???

There was another similar post already, maybe its an issue with the 970 (mine works fine getting 70+FPS ultra)

In your video settings check to make sure the resolution scale isn't set above 100%

is that actually on bf4 settings? i have a very good monitor the ASUS ROG swift 144Hz

Ok, I would expect the 970 to have a few less frames on 1440p than 1080p but not by as much as you're saying. Go into Geforce experience and choose optimise on BF4 and see if that helps.

do you run afterburner? If so, check the clocks I've already had a gpu(gtx 470) stuck on 2d clocks while gaming, you can imagine how that went in terms of FPS. It's easy to fix if that's your issue

Change your monitor resolution to 1080p (Yes, it will look shit). Change your BF4 settings to the ultra preset and if you don't get at least 40-50fps then it might be the card.

(Also do a virus and malware scan to make sure it isn't something like that)

I would suggest the same. When I first got my 970 it was underclocking to less than 500 mhz, which I just had to reset the drivers and turn down the overclock a bit.

You're being affected by the last 0.5GBs of vram on the gtx 970. Battlefield 4 is one of those games.

They tested those games at high settings, not the medium settings as mentioned in this thread.
