Diablo 3?

Lays

What's everyones opinions on Diablo 3?

I been thinking about buying it, I played it back in like 2000 on an ANCIENT PC, may buy diablo 3 and try it out, but I can't remember much about diablo 1&2, since its been like 10+ years since I played them.

For solo play its fun for through the first play through in normal mode and then it gets repetitive in nightmare, hell, and inferno. Its a lot more fun when you have other people to play with, but I think that you will get your money out of it.

Alright, thanks :D, d3 is made by blizzard right? I had a horrible experience with battle.net or whatever their website is. I tried playing WoW, bought membership+the games then to do anything on it they wanted another like 40 dollars worth of expansion packs, and wouldn't refund my membership even though the membership wasn't supposed to start for 48 hours.

Good graphics, good gameplay, great story, variety in characters but very repetetive. You need to finish the story 4 times to get to max level(level 60). I liked it a lot. Also it has many difficulty levels, except the main ones like normal-nightmare-hell-inferno, you can set difficulty level 1-2-3-....-10 i think.

Hope it helped!

Yeah you can pick how strong the monsters are from 1-10 to give it more of a challenge. I agree with all but the story is really lacking after act 1. Act 2,3,4 were bad compared to act 1.

It's a lot of fun and even more fun when played with friends. At first it didn't seem like I was getting my $60 out of it, but after I got past level 60 it definitely was :D

I am a big D2 fan and I was badly burned by D3 still played a shit ton of it though. I wouldn't spend the 60 dollars on it wait 5 years for blizzard to bring the price down when you can find ti for 20 bucks. If you like this genre I would recommend Path of Exile (F2P) and Torchlight 2 which was created by some ex Blizz dev's that worked on D2. IMO Torchlight 2 is what D3 was supposed to be.

After playing about 200+ hours, i do not recommend it anymore. It gets very repetitive. (you finish the story 3 times before hitting max level) After that it's just a grind to get gear and clear inferno.

Save your money and try to find another game. Like Soulreaper said, Torchlight 2 is what Diablo 3 should be.

Diablo 3 in current state is not worth the money.

So anyone with more then 363k dps here in EU ? :P

Getting about 200-250k DPS on my Barb with full buffs and Cooldowns. Can't say it's very usefull other than killing Diablo MP10. Trash will one shot me i have almost no vitality, so i'm forced to switch to a more defensive build.

The Real Money Auction House (RMAH) and the auction house is a broken system now due to insane gold inflation. So if you expect using any of those "helpful' features (which you probably will if you want to get through hell and inferno) expect paying some real world money for gold in order to get something. Not only that, but items dropped in game are rarely ever higher than your level (from when I played back in january), so most of your gear will be for levels 2-3 levels below your current. You can get away with gear drops from just solo even up to hell, but expect to die a LOT in inferno/hell act II.

You played it for >200 hours and can't recommend it :D ?

I know, it is much worse than diablo II, but i still played it a lot and maybe will start again this autumn.

Also Inferno is possible without dying (see HC players ...) ;)

item lvls correspond to the area/monster lvl in that area.

I might start another character? Also at least take a look at Torchlight 2 there are too many reasons to list here why it is soooo much better than D3. It's only 20 bucks and has more meat than D3, more monsters, more skills, way more dungeon varity actually random like old school D2 etc.. Oops thought you were OP.

I have a friend who beat inferno on hardcore... But I don't consider paying to win any fun. He bought all of his shit spent a lot of money on that game.

Me and my friends never spend a dollar in the real money ah and all beat inferno several times. It is far more challenging though (experienced some "heart stop" moments where you just start hammering your keyboard and hope that the buff goes trough).

On the contrary I could have made a lot of money by selling my gear (but did not).

Also at least take a look at Torchlight 2 there are too many reasons to list here why it is soooo much better than D3. It's only 20 bucks and has more meat than D3, more monsters, more skills, way more dungeon varity actually random like old school D2 etc.. Oops thought you were OP.

I bought Torchlight 2 because 3 of my friends (who also played D3) told me to do so (it also was on sale for like 10 bucks). I played it one night and never started it again (they also stopped after a few weeks later) ...
