Summer upgrade decision.

Good day ol' chaps.

 

What we British like to call summer is here. Almost a year since I built my pc and i'm looking for an upgrade. Right now I am running the following specs:

 

i5 3570k
8gb Corsair Vengeance
Corsair H60
Corsair 600t white
MSI Z77A-G45
Corsair tx650m

XFX 7970 Ghz

64gb crucial m4 ssd

230gb HDD

1tb HDD

 

So what I like to use my pc for: Gaming, Photoshop, After Effects, Website stuff and Cinema 4d.

 

The upgrade i'm looking at is either getting an i7-3770K so I can render stuff faster or 256gb Samsung 840 Pro since my 64gb one is kinda full and I want more room+speed.

 

However i'm not sure on which to get. So some people's opinion would be good. :D

If you do a lot of rendering I would get the i7 3770k/4770k.

However if you don't do that much/ can leave it going over night I would get the SSD.

But you are the only one who knows what they are realistically going to get more use out of.

Sell your 8GB RAM and buy 16GB or 32GB ram, then upgrade to 3770k and then get a bigger SSD.

Wait.. it's summer here? I thought it was still winter!

 

I'd say get a bigger SSD cos 64gb is abit small really. You might benefit from a 16GB RAM kit too.

 

If it was me it would be... buy an SSD + RAM kit OR a 3770k.
