wont boot

i have a x99 msi plus mobo the ram is corsair 16g ddr4 2400 and it wont post with all 4 sticks in and it olny post with i have 2 sticks in slots 1 and 2 that the only way it post i cant even get it to post in any other slot can some1 give me suggestions how to fix this

Check your Power Supply,See if it powers normal.

 

Cross testing your RAM,Make sure there's no bad stick.

 

Check your CPU socket,Look for any potential Bent Pins.

 

Or You just got a lemon Motherboard,RMA,If you just bought it.

Yea i check for bent pins no bent pins all ram works in slot 1 and 2 but in any other config it doesnt post i am running bios v 1.3

Have you tried switching all the sticks? Do all of them work? I feel like you have a quad channel kit and trying to put it in dual channel... Or something along those lines

Well it is a cheap MSI board, so i am not surprised

Dont want to make u feel bad, but just wanted to let you know

Anyway, test each stick of RAM in all 8 slots after updating BIOS to latest version

Yes all 4 sticks work my bios is at 1.6 the latest i put 1 stick and tried to post i can only gey slot 1 to post but when say i put a stick in slot 3 it wont but when i put a stick in 1 and 2 it post no other combination works i think am just gonna rma the board and the ram and get something else that what i get for switching from an asus board to msi
