Hey

im gonna build a new pc for gaming like BF4 and Gta 5

my specs are :

Intel i5 4440

MSI H81M-P33

Antec VP600P

Amd R9 290 Club 3D

i got some questions about my parts

Is the I5 4440 decent for gaming?

Is the MSi H81M-P33 good for my I5 4440?

i noted the MSI H81M-P33 has a PCI 2.0 Will this affect the performance of the R9 290 ?

is the Antec Vp600P enough to power my system up ?

Is the intel Stock cooler good enough ?

Is club a good psu brand?

Is this system future proof ?

-snip-

There is no such thing as future-proof. The system will run those two games with ease and the only thing you may want to upgrade would be the mobo to get more features, such as SLI/etc. If you dont have an SSD already, that's the upgrade that I'd recommend.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

The CPU is good enough but don't expect 120 FPS on Ultra preset. I would get a better PSU maybe even higher wattage. The CPU stock cooler is fine but will cool less and make more noise. Club 3D is a fine brand there are off course better ones.

Future proof is a dirty word don't use it you can't future proof a system only spend a shit ton of money to make it more viable for longer.

  1. Yup, it's awesome. You just won't be able to OC.
  2. Yup, it's ok. You just won't be able to OC.
  3. Nope, no need to bother with 2.0. Until now, it hasn't been of any relevance.
  4. I have no idea on what the bubble is that psu... Have fun with cheapness, or have fun with modularity.
  5. Yup, intel stock is enough, provided you don't OC (and you can't anyway).

About the futureproof... uh.. that's hard to say. Depends on what you expect out of it. It can surely last you some long years, but don't expect ultra settings 60 fps in 3 years. But for 1080p, it'll be good.

Now, tell me: are you in the US? How much can you spend? Do you have any parts already bought? Do you need windows, mouse/keyboard and a monitor? I'm sure we can come up with a good build for you.

I wont go SLI or so. im just an student of 16 years. this build is  a huge upgrade from m y current build

my Current build is

AMD X4 640

Antec HCG 400W
ASRock N68 vs3 UCC

2x8gb ddr3 1600MHz

XFX R7770 1GB Double D

ofc i am reusing the hard drive and Ram

My curreny is in Euro's

i can spend like 550-600 for

CPu

Motherboard

GPU

PSU

im not gonna upgrade for an ssd since i dont really need it. i maybe boot up my pc for 1-2 times a day. and bf4 loading doesnt have to be much faster.

like Cler17mud said i cant oc since the CPU is locked. also the mobo is pretty cheap

i might be planning to overclock the GPU if that doesnt void the warranty ?

and is my VP600P enough to oc my R9 290 ?

Have fun. You'll re-use the RAM and HD from the old PC, but I included a 4gb ram and a cheap HD, just so that you could still use your older pc. I also included a copy pf Windows. But it's lacking peripherals. If you need / don't need any of those, we can tweak things further.
