I lost a crapton of files on a computer about a month ago. I have only opened it and used it like 3 times since then, and for very short period. Basically I accidentally reformatted the hard drive, and I found this really good tool called RecoverMyFIles. So far it's been the only one that can recover the files out of all the other file recovery programs.

The only problem is that the program costs 70 dollars.

Are there ANY free alternatives that will do the job?
