So I originally had an issue with this pc that caused it to BSOD on startup of the machine. It would get to desktop, crash, Id have to turn it off and back on, then it would get back to desktop and be fine as if nothing ever happened. I recently bought an SSD about a month and ago and performed a clean install of windows 7. I thought the issue would go away, and for the most part it has, however a BSOD has happened twice since reinstalling windows 7 (One on startup and one that just happened recently while browsing the web).

Anyways, I used Bluescreenview to save my minidumps as a text file.

Here they are:

Can someone tell me the cause of my issue and how to fix it?

*This is issue is extremely weird for me. In the year I've had this computer, it had only BSOD'd on startup and never during any actual use post second boot up, however today, it BSOD'd while I was on youtube for its first time ever.

the first problem seem to be pointing to the Firewaire devices

do you have them plugged into the PC?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/980932

the second problem dont really say much other than trying to use the Windows disc to perform a Windows Repair

https://neosmart.net/wiki/0x00000024/

also try Safe mode to see if the system boot up fine

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

The only things that I have consistently plugged into my pc on a daily basis are my headset (Logitech G230 plugged into my headphoen and mic jack) and an adapter  that I use to connect a controller to my PC via USB.

The last time I booted into safe mode it was fine, but I will try again soon just to make sure (should I run a virus scan in safe mode just to be sure?). I will also try to do a windows repair, but will I lose any of my data (most of it is on my secondary drive but I do have some on my SSD)?

I have a few quick questions if you could help me out again (btw I booted into safe mode and ran a full security scan and i got no issues with either the scan or getting into safe mode).

Should I run CHKDSK on my SSD? Will it harm it in any way? In order for me to do a disk repair of windows 7 I have to use an ISO from a usb as I have an OEM copy of seven and it wont let me perform the repair straight from the disk because. I will do the ISO thing at a later date because I do not have time atm but should I run CHKDSK in the mean time?

Also, Windows 10 is coming out later this year. If I cant fix the problem myself and have to bring it into a computer shop, should i wait for 10 to come out and see if that fixes and issues before I take it to a repair shop (assuming this minor issue gets more annoying)?

yea CHKDSK will not harm your SSD in anyway

it checks the state of the SSD and repairs any bad sectors

if i remember correctly you could download the Win 8.1 ISO from Windows website itself and create a bootable thumbdrive

and also use the 8.1 to perform the Windows Repair as they are quite similar
