what is the difference between the x processor and the s processor I was looking at this graph thing and i don't quiet understand the difference between them it seems very confusing

-X/K are labels for enthusiast cpus unlocked for overclocking.

-S is for 'power saving' cpus. (Intel says it's for 'performance' but not really. http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/processor-numbers.html )

Pretty much this. S's are also cooler,so keep that in mind.

and run at a lower TDP as well.

The lower TDP is why they run cooler. If you clocked a K or X CPU down to an "S" specs they should run the same. But that'd be a hindrance to the K CPU anyway.

4790K and 4770K are essentially "budget extreme CPUs"... so to speak.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
