PSU power connector problem

Hello. I am connecting my psu (corsair cs600) cables  to my motherboard (msi z97 gaming 7) and the power connector doesnt connect with the notch. Why is that?

yes, sometimes it's just really difficult to put it on all the way, just keep wiggling on it, but don't strain the board.

It should be OK. You should be making full contact with the pins.

Honestly, it looks like you plugged it in a little crooked. After you take the connector out (and take a peek to make sure everything is straight), reinsert it most of the way (keep it as straight as you can, and push down on the short sides of the connector (both sides at the same time. Keep it straight) with your thumbs while you have your other fingers under the motherboard.
