Ubuntu Xbox Controller

So I installed that joystick program the Ubuntu forums was talking about but It doesn't seem to help with using my mic through the controller. Does anyone know if there is a way to do that?

Im pretty sure you cant do that. Why not just use an actual mic that plugs into your computer.

I like to cheap out on everything. Im probably eventually gonna buy a real mic.

the x360 controller mic uses directX for audio input.

 

edit: I don't think its possible  without directX.
