Will the NZXT Kraken X61 fit inside Fractal Design Define R4? I know it supports 280mm coolers, but people are saying that there are clearence issues with motherboard heatsinks. My mobo is Asus M5A97 R2.0.

you culd mod it to fit but PLEASE look up the manufactureres website

oficially supports "some models of 240rads, depending on configuration"

8!!!!! seconds until i got there!!!!!

google is not THAT hard

you an cut the 5.25" bay to fit a 280 in the front but thats quite difficult if you re not used to stuff like this and you culd ruin your case

I don't think it does. Where have you heard this? I don't think the x61 will fit :/

Well it has 2 140mm fan positions on top so I assume it should support 280mm radiators.

I'm definetly not going to mod my case, but it has 2 140mm fan positions on top and the only problem I see is the space between the mobo and the cooler.

Ah well, on the R4 page it says:

"Top: 2 - 120/140mm fans (not included) - positions also support some models of 240 radiators, depending on configuration"

However, they have answered your question before:

https://support.fractal-design.com/support/articles/138156-define-r4-what-size-radiator-will-fit-in-the-top-panel-

So in answer to your question, no an NZXT X61 (or any 280mm radiator) will not fit. :/

But here says it can support 280mm radiators. I'm so confused.

Oh yeah, that is confusing. It's up to you, but I'd go with this one ( https://support.fractal-design.com/support/articles/138156-define-r4-what-size-radiator-will-fit-in-the-top-panel ) because that's an official reply from Fractal Design, not much more we can do unless someone who actually tries it replies.
