Boot error help

Hi,

I recently built my rig but with all the fans connected to the fan hub included in the case (phanteks enthoo luxe).

However this meant that I could not change the fan speed so my pc sounds like a jet engine...

So I tried to plug the fan headers into the motherboard fan slots but when I booted it up there was a error message saying cpu boot error

Any help would be great

That's weird. What motherboard are you using? some motherboards allow for DC control on their 3-pin connectors. Try some of those. Is this only happening when you plug the fan into the CPU header?

I'm using the maximums vii hero and my cpu cooler (nzxt kraken x61) is connected to the cpu_fan header

Do you not have any other PWM fans? It sounds like a problem with the PWM circuitry in your fan. You can try DC power control on a 3-pin header.

Thanks for the help however the cpu fans seem to be working so i disabled cpu fan monitoring in the bios and it now works perfectly (idle 28 degrees plus the fact that i live in Australia which is really hot)
