Funky Cortana?

Hey you amazing people!

Recently, a new woman has come into my life and swept me off my feet... Cortana!

Unfortunately, she refuses to listen to me even though Windows recognizes my microphone and she doesn't talk! When she talks, it doesn't even show her talking in sound mixer. She doesn't recognize me talking either. Any ideas?

Right click on the volume button at taskbar, then recording devices. Right click your microphone and selected Set as default device. And see if that works.
