Hello, so I have never built a pc before, and I am looking to make one. I have researched a lot on parts and what is worth it but I do not know if the components will work together. I am looking around a $700 to $750 range.

My current idea of what I will choose is:

Cpu- Amd Fx 8320

Gpu- XFX R9 280x

Mohterboard- ASUS m5a97

Storage- WD blue 1TB

Psu- Corsair CX series 600w

OS- Windows 8

Cpu cooler- cooler master hyper

Case- Rosewill CHALLENGER ATX mid tower

What my question is if this will all work together or if there are some substantial drawbacks of one or more of the components, and if something else is more worth the money.

Those parts will work, but you should probably go with i5 4460 and an Asus H-81M if you're not planning to OC, for the (I hate this word, but) "futureproofness" of the system

The rest is fine, but a CX 500w would do

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

*If I say something that seems offensive, please don't take it seriously, it was most likely meant as a joke/sarcastically*

What will you use it for?

So the i5 4440 will out perform amd's fx? Even the 8350 with overclocking? (I didn't realize motherboard cannot overclock unless i am mistaken)

Yes a i5 will out perform amd's FX, they have poor single core performance. Plus you have nothing to upgrade to with the AMD side, that is why you should go with intel and

Unilision build.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

Ok, so another question. When i go to the pc part picker it says that the Rosewell challenger case may not be able to fit the r9 290

Oh I just realised that problem. Means that the case is too small. Choose a different case.
