it can be your firewall that blocks the traffic i have that issue with a fresh install of a game often but it is an easy fixs you just need to get firewall to ignore the program

this can help http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/communicate-through-windows-firewall#1TC=windows-7

Dino D Day

does it have a LAN feature to it? Are you trying to connect to a server? is it hosted by you or someone else? If you are searching in the server browser it won't show up, you must connect by IP in the console

EDIT: I think I know what's going on they're looking for each other in the server browser's LAN option, you have to set up a sever before you can play (Dino D Day is a source game)

You have to have a server set up to play. You can't peer to peer play together like Borderlands. You need a dedicated server.
