Alright, been a while since I've been on here posting.  I'm about to do a rig update for my system, but it's not a complete system upgrade.  Lemme know what you think.

Current Rig:

Intel Quad Core i5 2500k

MSI Z77A-GD65

2 MSI GTX 660Ti Power Editions

8GB Crucial Ballistix 2133 Mhz

Corsair 850HX Power Supply

WD Black 500 GB HDD

Hitachi 644 GB HDD

Plus lots of custom liquid cooling

Upgrade:

Intel 6 Core i7 5820k

EVGA X99 Classified

G-skill Ripjaws series 4, 32 GB DDR 2400 Mhz

EVGA 1200W 80 plus platinum fully modular

Samsung 850 Evo Series 250 GB 3D internal SSD

Upgrading a few custom liquid cooling items to accompany the new CPU socket.

That's all for the upgrade at the moment until I save up for some GPU's again.  This time they will be of the 980/Titan black area of performance.

This rig is going to be used for gaming, rendering, CAD, graphic design.  Now all i gotta do is get a monitor worthy of running such a system as well.  Right now I'm running an ASUS 24" 60hz TN panel.  One step at a time I suppose! Lemme know what you guys think!

Why such a large wattage PSU? You do plan to keep the 660ti setup, or upgrade those as well?

I do plan to upgrade the GPU set up, within the next 4-5 months.  I went higher on the PSU for that reason alone. I plan to be using GPU hardware that will need the overhead at peak performance.

Sorry, I must have overlooked the part where it said you will upgrade the SLI setup. Well it looks like a very nice upgrade. You really should upgrade your monitor now to nothing less than 1440p.
