If you ever decide that you need more advanced functionality then Audacity can give you, I'd highly recommend giving Reaper a try. I don't work for them or anything, it's just a great piece of software and I've pretty much exclusively used it for recording, editing, and mixing music for the last three+ years. Paid software, but unlimited free trial.
