It depends on the individual chip, but Ivy so far has been getting better luck.

i think the 4670, i could be better in the futur beacause you don't have to buy a new mobo when you do a cpu upgrade (if they keep the 1150 socket)

I would say go with haswell just because its more futre proofed, but overclocking wise ivy is probably better. Also the new z87 boards have some really good features compared to z77.

From what I've read and heard, the 3570k is still the best "gaming" cpu. It is essentially equal to the 4670k. If you want future-proofing, go for Haswell, as wtfxmitchell mentioned, they might keep the 1150 and you can re-use the motherboard.

Once overclocked, you're probably looking at equal performance, unless you get a really good chip (in which case the 4670K should be faster). However, you're gaming, so it doesn't matter. Just get the Haswell chip, better overclocker or not.

EDIT: Also, you might want to save on the motherboard, and power supply and get a 780 if possible. Just a suggestion.

I like this Motherboard and the colorscheme, it's a good PSU and with it I can go SLI with it later thusa not needing a 780, but thanks for the tips anyways

Haswell overclocking vary by chips but I have seen Haswell 4670k having the same price as the Ivy Bridge 3570k so I would go with Haswell so you can upgrade if you wanted to.

I have another question, will the Corsair sleeved cables made fot the HX/TXM series fit the AXi series?

I think they will fit since they have the same connectors:

as above only if the HX is the "gold" rated PSU, the silver was the older generation

and will not accept the cabling options.
