info hard disk:

WD Scorpio Blue 500GB

MDL: WD5000BEVT - 35A0RT0

 

What happent : hard disk fall from normal high desk

 

when i connect USB to PC its said ready to use.

but nothing on my computer screen

so i check at device manager its only said usb device

then i plug in direct to motherboard its self without USB. using SATA connector and SATA power cable to hard disk.

its still get same result. i also check on BIOS, its said hard disk connected, but no size displayed.

from what i observe, i didn't heard any sound, warm and vibrate at all. oh yeah from USB hard disk casing its show green light.

so you guys any idea?

i willing to tear down if the needle stuck or some thing.

It means its defect. U need to get it fixed. 

 

Have you tried another computer ?

It means its defect. U need to get it fixed.

yup same result. what do you mean defected?

 

Can you try it in a Mac os? I heard they're far better for picking up and repairing defected drives.

If you can try a mac or a linux os to see if it's picked up. 

i have try ubuntu and kali, but its display same result : not display on screen.

Does it show up in the disk management?
