290. Sapphire. The vapor X is the best 290 out there, extremely quiet, good temps.

Also has a backplate and the Sapphire logo is an LED which shines while on.

So yeah, I would go with a R9 290 Vapor-x, if Vapor-X is a bit too expensive the next best thing is a Tri-X, also from Sapphire.

Which one* should I get? And what model? I'm building a brand new pc, and so far I only have a 240GB SSD

Personally please...do not get any kind of reference design R9 280(X)/290 series card. Highly recommend choosing a third-party cooler. What are your other system specifications?

You could easily pick up an R9 290 but no concretely sure when AMD is going to release the R9 300+ series.

Not so much large as it is 'thick' but don't worry about sag.

Also curious, why type my name fully and say hello with it :D first person who does that here.

I haven't bought any other parts for the pc yet, but my budget is around $800-850, but I already have a SSD, and I will only buy the case later

Ah okay. I'd probably create another thread in the new builds section(or ask a moderator to merge this thread with) regarding what components could be a good choice for your situation/pc functionality.

I don't know. Probably. I'm an exchange student from brazil, living in Colorado, US. I don't really know lots of good websites to buy from in the US, but amazon and according to people here, neweggs, are pretty good

Couple of decent sites are Newegg, NCIX US, Microcenter or Amazon US ofc (erm..not sure if I missed on out but yeah.) If you use pcparterpicker.com which is a useful site to configure a pc spec list without having to buy it first, tonnes of components & comparisions etc.

Like everyone else recommend, get the 290 Tri-X or Powercolor 290 PCS+ whichever cheaper.
