Hey guys.. I'm in a crunch and can't figure out what to do. Sooo I had a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate running on my desktop. (For like a year and a half now) I recently backed up everything on my external, and installed s new student version of windows 7 I received from my school. I ran the installer, picked my partitions, made it to 30 something percent where it has to restart a few times and now my desktop won't reboot at all. :/ Also to note, my computer has recently been booting up without my bios menu flashing and I and unable to do the F12 or F8 bullshit to get my other menus to come up.. I have zero idea where to go from here... fuck

Could it be a coincidence and my motherboard went bad? I have a Z68a.

Have you got a second display connected? Win 7 has a habit of switching to a second display during setup.

I definitely double check this.

If i were you i would switch off the PSU, remove the CMOS battery, discharge completely the PC (keep the ON switch pushed for like 40 seconds). Then (without the CMOS battery inserted) reboot the PC and the BIOS should give you a warning message telling you no CMOS config is detected, and that would get it on running again

If that doesnt work i would completely take apart your storage devicec/RAM/GPU and repeat the steps above.

That helped me once or twice. Keep updating
