I personally would go with IPS, but that's just me. Even though it doesn't have stellar response times, I find the color accuracy and wide viewing angle more enjoyable for all around usage.

AMVA+ is a standard of VA, you'll have some input lag, amazing blacks, but the colors will be between TN and IPS.  AHVA and AD-PLS are pretty equivelant.  AHVA bearing the VA title, but not being VA--more of AU optronics response to PLS and IPS.  Really whichever is cheapest between those two.  AD-PLS I believe is the advanced version, so it is likely a bit more of a premium.
