raptr and twitch issues?

so Ive been working on trying to get my computer streaming to twitch using the raptr gaming app, that came with the drivers for my r9 290, but for some reason it keeps just saying starting stream, and never actually starting it, i was able to play through 3 games of hearthstone, and it never actually started the stream, any ideas, of what could be wrong, or what i should use instead of raptr?

Don't use raptr to stream to twitch. Download OBS and stream that way.

Yea. I used OBS for years... but I got an old i7 and a R9-290 and ratpr promised more performance
