So I was curious if I could use one of the Hard Drives in a Nas (Specifically a WD Red) as an External Hard drive for my consoles (Specifically Xbox One, and Xbox 360) while retaining the rest of the drives as not Xbox drives.

This particular NAS - http://www.amazon.com/Cloud-EX4-Diskless-High-performance-reliability/dp/B00G4JZ2T0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1422162589&sr=8-4&keywords=NAS

Also, how would I go about connecting them to each other? Via USB?

Thanks

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

if your able to raid 3 of the drives together than assign the 4th drive separate, than possibly as I believe the xbox one is able to hook up to network harddrives.

I'm sorry I do not own ether, so I can not be further assistance, yet I hope this little bump/info will help.
