So Linux has most of the things I need for what I do, but some of the games I want to play are for Mac and Windows. Personally I don't enjoy Windows very much, and that's my personal opinion. Personal reference, but since some of my games are playable on Mac, could I dual-boot with Mac and Linux? I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS as my main OS. I even thought of maybe using VirtualBox..I have an OS X Lion disk, and I might possibly be able to install Mavericks or Yosemite. I also plan to pretty soon get a 660 TI so that I can play more. Integrated GPU is temporarily..

PC and Peripherals:

Intel Core i3 4150 @3.5GHz - ASRock H97M Anniversary - Kingston Fury HyperX Black 8GB DDR3 @1866MHz - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 G1 Gaming 2GB GDDR5 - EVGA 500W 80+ Certified - WD Caviar Blue 1TB - WD Caviar Blue 160GB - Lian Li PC-50 - Linux Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS - Acer P221w 21.5" 1680x1050 60Hz - Kingston Fury HyperX Clouds - Razer Deathadder 3.5G - CM Storm Quickfire Rapid w/ Cherry MX Blues

You could do that, but I have a better solution: install wine. It llows you to run most windows games directly inside ubuntu. Give that a try, then come back if it doesn't work :)

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

I have Wine, but the game I'm wanting to play is called Stranded Deep. Will that work in Wine?

Yeah, I've seen that. The problem is that most developers who say that make you wait a while before the release. One of the reasons I was thinking of dual-booting virtually, is because I also have school stuff I need Mac for.

You can definitely dual boot Ubuntu, Mac and Windows. You could dual boot anything with Ubuntu, even other Linux distros.

Do you need a tutorial to do this?

then I suggest you follow the instructions here http://www.hackintosh.com to install osx, then install ubuntu. I'm afraid it won't work the other way around.
