PC doesn't boot

Go to solution Solved by MC_loud,

So keep all the cables plugged in besides the 24 pin in the mobo?

About a month ago, my PSU started having a little coil whine. I inspected and noticed that the ten pin (part of the 24 pin ATX cable) plugged into the PSU was loose and the coil whine would stop if I pushed it in further. I decided to unplug all of the modular cables and rearrange them. When I went to turn it on, it did not boot. I noticed only the two CPU headers work, not any of the chassis fan headers. Also the Supreme FX trace on the motherboard, which would light up, doesn't. I had figured that the 24 pin was the problem so I tried replacing it, but that did but help. Any help would be appreciated.

Kick it.

Put a conductive piece of metal like a paper clip in any green and back pin on the 24 pin connector. This automatically sends power to the mobo. If the mobo doesn't change check if the sata power for a harddrive boots a hard drive after putting the metal clip in!

look up Linus's video on overkill watercooling video, where he puts the liquid in!

Irish in Vancouver, what's new?
