Looking for a good pair of headphones for music and gaming.

Ridir

Recently I've been thinking about getting a new pair of headphones for my PC, but I can't seem to find a suitable pair.

I'm looking for something in the $120 range (roughly £80) that I'd be able to use for a couple of hours each day, both for music listening aswell as for gaming. The best sounding headphones I've previously owned are the Jays V-Jays which I've been very pleased with.  Whether the headphones are openback or closedback make no greater difference to me as I sit rather secluded.

I've been looking at the ATH-m50, although I tried a pair on yesterday and my ears got warm and itchy after a few minutes, something which makes me fear I'd get eczema from using them, something I've had troubles with in the past.

Got any good recomendations?

Thanks.

I wasn't able to find HD529, so I presume you mean the HD518. They seem reasonable, how do they compare to the ATH-m50?

sorry yeah i mean the HD518's i sometimes get those mixed up with other pairs i've owned before :L Tbf i own a pair of HDD449 and i love them, very balanced sound and good noise suppression from the outside, compared to the audio technicas i wouldn't know as i've never owned a pair.
