"iPod value at Gamestop" The Dreaded Words

I have cleaned out multiple drawers looking for spare change, and I found my iPod 3rd Generation. I never use it, and I don't want to sell it on Ebay. I hate to say it, but I'm contemplating selling it at Gamestop. I bet I could get $10 cash. What do you guys think I should do with it?

It's an 8gb. I don't want to sell it because of Paypal's cut and shipping. I'd rather take it to town, have cash in hand, and never think of it again.

You could ship it for about $5 to just about anywhere in the US.   eBay and PayPal's fee would be a combined 12.9%.   It stings at first, but it's not that bad compared to what you would get at GameStop.

How old are you? i.e, do you have a car?  You could always use it as designed in the car with some music on it if you have an input on the stereo.

How about Swappa? They only take a $10 cut and you can make the buyer pay for shipping. I just used them to sell my iPhone 4

Craigslist, garage sale, listings in the paper or asking someone on the street like a crazy person, "Hey, wanna buy an Ipod? It's 3Gen!".

What about any friends?  Since you seem accepting that it might not turn much cash, maybe you could give it to some one.  Making a friend can be pretty valuable too...  or give it to a friend you already have and curry a favor.

I was thinking of giving it to my Grandma. She could use a simple piece of tech. Maybe a friend. I could sell it to a friend who needs a burner device, something not to worry about, use just to keep music on.
