finding win license

I bought a Dell t1700 and it came with win 7 preinstalled and a win 8.1 license, which i installed and am currently running. How do I find the actual license numbers or whatever for both 7 and 8.1? If possible, that is. cheers, DZA

Its hidden in your bios. Some bio's show the windows keys, but some of them don't. If it doesn't, then you can use this to view them: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html

Advisor.com download and run the belarc advisor, it gives you a Web page that you can save with all the info, from hardware to installed programs serials

There is software among the hacking community that can decode your key from an existing OS install. Tho for most cases OEM versions of Windows 7 use a SLIC that is injected into the machines BIOS to fool Windows into thinking it's permanently activated.
