I have switched from PowerDVD to VLC and have noticed a massive drop in video quality. Can someone please tell me the optimal settings for best video quality? Thanks!

Is this when playing DVDs? if it is use Windows Media Player, because I have exactly the same problem when playing a DVD in VLC it looks awful whereas in WMP it looks perfect.

All other videos look the exact same in VLC and WMP it's just the DVDs that look bad.

If you have Windows 8 which can't play DVDs in WMP then use XBMC DVDs look the same in that as WMP.
