I have been wanting to build a gaming PC for a while. I have mixed and matched all sorts of components but for some reason i feel like I am going to mess up or when I do pull the trigger the next day some revolutionary new CPU is going to come out. I am brand new to PC gaming so keep that in mind, I have done a lot of research as well so i can make an informed purchase. I was also debating wether to go small form factor or just stick to the normal mid-atx. Any advice is appreciated and how much did you spend on your PC?

Goal-

I want to do some very light content creation, web browsing and most importantly gaming at 1080p high settings.

Wants-

An intel cpu Quad core, nice looking case, color matching preferable, 1080p IPS monitor, Cherry MX-Red keyboard, a good mouse and maybe some headphones

Location-

Pennsylvania USA

Budget-

Below 1,150 USD including windows and peripherals

Upgradability-

I want a platform that can be upgraded thats why i want an Intel CPU because AMD seems like they aren't going to continue their FX series

Misc-

Price with out rebates (don't want to deal with rebates)

Okay, if your budget was higher there wouldn't be so many corners cut but I got the important things. First thing I would upgrade is getting an SSD as soon as you can. Graphics card next, depending on how much you'll tolerate the performance (it's still great for 1080p). And the case to something like an Define R5 Windowed whenever the system is up to snuff.

I tried @Punch Note: You won't have sound if you don't have earbuds or something you can use. I can choose another monitor but that'll be like $40 more. Much better graphics card than above. Non-SLI/Crossfire motherboard though since you wouldn't want to crossfire a r9 290 anyways because of all the heat and power consumption. Non-Micro Center Monitor too.
