Hi, i need some help lowering the price of a budget build.

This pc will be used for regular use and some light gaming (minecraft, lego games; star wars, batman, marvel, etc..)

the parts so far:

CPU:      Intel Pentium G3258 or a recomended APU

MOBO:  ASUS H81M-PLUS (did some research, looks like a good mobo for the cpu)

RAM:     Corsair Vengeance LP 4GB (looked at crucial ram, do you recomend)

GPU:     ??? :P

HDD:     Seagate barracuda 1TB (i can half this space if needed)

PSU:     Corsair CX 430  (i think i can get lower wattage)

CASE:   Antec VSK-3000E (case doesnt realy matters, as long if it isnt flashy 'n stuff :P )

ATM the total cost (exc. OS) is 435 euro's, i would be glad if i can get the price to around 350/380 euro's

If you recomend parts for a beter price, i will order from http://www.alternate.be

thanks up front, and sorry for grammar mistakes (english is not my native language).

Define light gaming and regular use?

Depending on what you do an X4 760k/860k + FM2+ board might be a better choice.

PSU Tier List | CoC

Gaming Build | FreeNAS Server

Spoiler

i5-4690k || Seidon 240m || GTX780 ACX || MSI Z97s SLI Plus || 8GB 2400mhz || 250GB 840 Evo || 1TB WD Blue || H440 (Black/Blue) || Windows 10 Pro || Dell P2414H & BenQ XL2411Z || Ducky Shine Mini || Logitech G502 Proteus Core

Spoiler

FreeNAS 9.3 - Stable || Xeon E3 1230v2 || Supermicro X9SCM-F || 32GB Crucial ECC DDR3 || 3x4TB WD Red (JBOD) || SYBA SI-PEX40064 sata controller || Corsair CX500m || NZXT Source 210.

basic office use, web browsing, some movies, music, etc...

alot of minecraft and lego games (star wars, batman, marvel, etc.. )

if you really need budget, belgium isnt a very good place, but you *might* be in the market for an APU, depending on how heavy the mentioned games are, and what terrible things you do to minecraft.

i'm not really into AMD very much, but i could ask around a few friends what they can suggest. the beauty of an APU is that you can always get a GPU at a later point.

but one thing: if you're into modded minecraft, or build crazy technical megabuilds in vanilla, that APU isnt gonna cut it cpu-wise

this pc will be used mostly by my mother and little brother, atm he is not building crazy stuff but this can change and he will sometimes join his older brothers server, which is very huge :P

an other question: are you fine with ordering from alternate? i personally use that store, as do most of my friends. i've got good experience with them and their prices are reasonable for their service.

EDIT: derp, i'm a blind idiot

I looked at the site you wanted to buy from and I saw the XFX card you mend was not the one i have.

i have this one: http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/362053/xfx-radeon-r7-260x-1gb-core-edition.html

you maybe can get the XFX one but I don't trust XFX cooler after this miss buy

http://www.alternate.be/ASUS/A88XM-A-socket-FM2+-moederbord/html/product/1099032?tk=7&lk=6639 for the mobo

http://www.alternate.be/AMD/A10-7700K-3-4-GHz-(3-8-GHz-Turbo-Boost)-FM2+-processor/html/product/1117103?tk=7&lk=7593 for the APU

ram & power supply seem okay

EDIT: higher clock speed RAM tends to help on APUs, pick whatever fits the budget tho

i'm really not a fan of antec (i have a case of them, the store i bought it from realised their mistake after a few years, and now advertises them as "loud dust magnets")

but its not like its a high-performance build.
