logitech g930 mic issues

let me start off by saying i have had nothing but issues with this headset for the past few days. its 20meter range, yeah try 2 feet. anyways, the issue NOW is that my mic is gone. i used sound recorder and for 5 secs of talking i get 1 letter of sound. comes through "choppier than a radio in the mountans" on TS3. same for skype. it is set as my default play back and recording, not plugged into a 3.0 port, software is updated. please help

It sounds broken. Is it still under warranty? Might be able to exchange it for a working one.

Probably best to cut your losses and get a real headset.

i never registered it with logitechs website. so i dont know if theyd let me and i dont have my recipt anymore

i was wanting to wait till the cloud 2s. i might get a snowball and some senheisers though.

I had this headset and it was meh, it's okay but it made me kind of disappointed with Logitech seeing as they are generally a great company, bit of a shame. pretty sure you get 90 days warranty so you should be okay if you haven't exceeded that time

how is the sound quality compared to what you use now? (whatever that may be)

Oh the steelseries H wireless which I have now absolutely destroys in sound quality, I was never in need of new headphones at the time, but when I saw they were on a flash sale for £150 down from £300 I had to get them, there was no way that was slipping through. Also they are always wireless where as they use replaceable batteries which you can charge up in the little docking station you get. The Logitechs were awesome for gaming sounds, but when it comes to all around sound like music etc. The Steelseries gets my vote, had them since August, no faults at all. If you're looking for a new headset then I'd put this in your top 3
