I really like the Trigger and Trigger-Z By Cooler Master, but it seems they have discontinued their product line for versions with OSI / UK layouts. I'm not sure if other model types are still being manufactured, but it is a really nice keyboard.

I would really like to purchase a keyboard that is similar to the CM Storm Trigger or Trigger-Z, meaning it:

  • must have (any) cherry keyswitch,
  • an OSI/UK layout, and
  • have macro keys on the left.

I have looked everywhere and have found the Razer Blackwidow seems to have a similar layout, but lacks the Cherry Keyswitch for some stupid reason.

Another keyboard I found that was corsair K95 which is way to expensive and would be perfect if it had just 5 macro keys

Anyway thanks for anyones help if they want to help me, or if you just read this I am grateful. If I come up short then I think I'll just buy a qpad MK-50!!!

Don't go saying "any Cherry switch" because they are all different and I promise you won't like at least on of them. Take a look at my sig and take the quiz in the thread in there.

Also, ignoring switches, the Logitech G710+ comes with either Browns or Blues.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Thanks for the reply :) Unfortunately this keyboard only comes with a USA Layout, so wouldn't fit me since I'm from the UK and I'm used to the UK Layout (i.e. bigger enter, "\" and "|" key next to left shift, " and @ swapped, among other stuff) but I really do thank you because I haven't seen this keyboard as of yet so you opened my eyes up. +1

Thanks for the reply! This keyboard if one I had a look at, but it really expensive. I think if I was going to spend £130 on a keyboard I'd most likely get the Corsair K95 because of the cool 16 Macro keys :) I also don't want to sound like a dick since I'm pretty much saying that the suggestion sucks, but its entirely my fault since I didn't actually say that there is a price point, in my original post, that is.

Again, like Imabigmac, thanks for the reply, but It's too expensive. I'm going to do that quiz thing on your thread  :)

Hmmm, not too many have macros on there...

Maybe try getting a mouse with a bajillion buttons on it instead?

Also, cool! Whenever you're done you can tell me which switch you got.

Apparently Browns

Pretty cool I guess I'll make sure to get brown switches.

Also, the mouse thing is a pretty good idea, but I mostly play twitch shooters, and I find it hard to press buttons on a mouse, and aim correctly at the same time, but I guess practice makes perfect, but nontheless this is an interesting idea.

I actually only have a crappy rubber-dome £5 keyboard made by "BUSH", so I guess I'll be stuck in the "keyboard limbo" till I get a new one, whereas I have a R.A.T 3 mouse which I am quite fond of because of the weight, shape and size of the mouse, plus I currently have no gripes with the optical sensor in the mouse, so have no current plans to upgrade my mouse.

On another note, do you know of any modular macro benches? or like a macro station? or something???   I illustrated this picture to show you what I mean

Something like this that I could plug in via USB and just have it next to my keyboard? I really hope there is such a thing. and if there isn't... patent pending :D

There's tons of those external numpads around. Is this what you mean?

I've actually tried one of these before, but I ran into an issue because windows doesn't create macros per keyboard, like if I typed a "7" on the numpad thats already on my keyboard then it would read a a "7", and if I typed "7" on my external USB numpad it would also be a "7" and windows wouldn't tell the difference. So if I binded an action to the "7" key on the external numpad it would also bind to the to 7 key on the keyboard's numpad, but with "G" keys or Macro keys it acts like a seperate key instead of just emulating another that isnt used very often. So, I guess that's an issue. Maybe I'll make another thread about the seperate macro pad thingy it seems like something like that should exist but all I find is really expensive ones used in like mcdonalds and stuff, and external numpads. I also found a list of mechanical keyboard manufacturers (here) and will be looking through them individually to see if theres any that fit my description :)

It seems the editted link that you adds fits the description entirely! I may get a standard keyboard and also get that one, or find one that's similar. Thanks for the link it really did help a lot. :)

I don't know what's up with cooler master recently, none of their keyboards seem to be in stock.

The ASUS strix board has macro keys.
