headset for PC under 150$

Go to solution Solved by Chucksta,

I wouldn't get those JBL ones.

The 598 has a greater sound stage which would be better for watching movies as well as more clarity and highs while the 558 has a little more bass but not as much clarity or sound stage. Also, if your uses are for movies and anime, open headsets like the ones I listed and not the ones you listed make it feel like the sound is around you rather than coming from just the headphones. The headphones you listed have closed ear cups which have more sound isolation. Open ear cups are probably what you want because you don't care about sound isolation as they are generally better for watching movies. But, if you turn the volume too high then people will hear what you are watching so I would suggest that you get the open ear cup design like the ones I listed only if there are usually no people around you.

do you specifically mean headset(headphone+mic) or just headphones? Because you can get way way better headphones and a cheap mic for that price...I would recommend the HD558 from sennheiser...great sound, but little to no sound insolation or the HyperX cloud as headset is decent enough
