Need help with my psu!

Hello iam new to this forum so please excuse if this post/topic is in the wrong area. 

 

I have resonantly built my first pc and i have noticed a horrible chemical smell coming from the psu.

i looked though the grates and found that some glue had melted

 

i have put a desk fan near it to keep it cool and stop the smell.

 

i want to know if i should get a new better psu or will it be ok to use like it is?

 

psu= Artic red+ silent (yes i know this is very cheap)

You have bought an off-brand PSU. Stop using your pc right now before that PSU fries a component.

 

Get a better PSU. Give us your system specs and budget and we'll give you the appropriate PSU to buy

AMD radeon r9 270x

ASROCK 970 extreme3

1TB and 500GB HDD'S

Gelid solutuions cpu cooler

couple of case fans

 

oh and £50-75 

Budget?

 

Edit: Oh I see now, Corsair CS550M is a great choice for a PSU
