How to optimise amd gpu's?

I have been running an ageing sapphire 5870 and I get a decent 400fps at 1440p but when I attempt running minecraft it drags down to 20fps , (I have been trying to tweak settings for a while in game)

16gb 1866mhz ram

I7 4790k

Gigabyte z87 OC force 8pack

1200w psu titanium efficiency

minecraft is horribly coded

get a mod called optifine.

Um I dont get 400 fps on 1080p with a 290x

Um I dont get 400 fps on 1080p with a 290x

 

TROLL Detected

Minecraft's FPS is mainly affected by CPU speed AND java is not optimized for AMD, so it's because of your 8350. I have the same problem but as long as it's higher than 60 I don't really care.

reason op normally gets 400+fps is because intel...

Not long ago you'd do 200 FPS on a 610M...

It's just gettin worse every update

OK, he says he gets 400 FPS at 1440p at some other games. He does NOT say he gets 400 FPS in MC at 1440p
