Just did my first build and I'm incredibly proud. Started off this journey with no computer hardware knowledge and with the help of the forum. watching some videos, and betting a little money on ambition I finally accomplished my goal. Big shout out to all who helped with my questions!

The goal of the executive was to build a workstation/gaming rig with an all black and grey color scheme. The rig needed to be business with a little flash but not over the top. All parts were bought during black friday aside monitor and HDD which I already possessed. The build goal was top of the line but with budget in mind. Although this build may not be the best on the forum, I am incredibly proud. Ladies and gentlemen: The Executive

thanks the fans are incredibly quiet. Even with the tower sitting on top on my desk right next to me I don't really notice notice the fans.

 

Great idea I never thought of sleeves. I don't really know what to do with all the vga cables, they are just so long, it would be nice to see if I can tidey the up a bit more.

I'm going to do quite heavy modding with R4 this summer, including repainting, drilling and so on (love this strict design).

Did u do any manipulations with drive bays or pci slot gags before painting? How well this paint is hanging on?

I used 300 grit sand paper on a foam block to allow the paint to have something to grip to. You don't need to fully need to remove the paint, you just want to give it a texture so I can grip and bind to. I did two coats with a black enamel spray paint, you need to keep in mind that you'll be flipping these over to paint the other side so they must dry fully on one side before you can finish applying your first coat to the other side. The paint is holding on nicely and hasn't changed the width of pieces. This method worked great for me and since they aren't conducting heat or electricity you don't have to worry about heat insulation or conductivity.
