Plus the specs are nothing compared to a desktop at that price, the i7 is probably around a desktop grade i3.

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

Spec wise its a good computer and it has some cool features too like the RGB backlit keyboard and SoundBlaster soundcard. Hardware wise, its only okay(below average for its category). Its pretty bulky and heavy, but it doesn't need to be. There is a bunch of wasted space and a majority of its construction is plastic, so its its not even heavy because of its "premium aluminum design". In some ways its a great computer, but it just has some things that are irritating about it. If you want me to go into more detail I can, just tell me :). I've owned a couple generations of the GT70 for years now, so I have plenty of experience with it(in fact, I used a older model to type this).

I don't mind bulky or ugly, I just want it to handle my games. I plan on buying it next week, my budget is $1200 and so far I've seen it as my best option. I'd love to know more about it before I purchase it.
