Just wanted to know if my parts list would work in my new water cooling build?? I'm new to the whole water cooling custom loops and just want to get this right. I have built several comps but never a custom loop. The whole water loop(idea) kind of scares me but is a must in my new build. So this is my build list witch is not complete because some parts i'm still waiting to come out but u will get the gist.

:Corsair 760t case

:Galax 980 gtx Hof

:Msi x99 Krait edition(not released)

:Intel i7 5820k

:Samsung 850 pro 512g 3-d vertical(also debating m.2 or pci)

:Evga 1200w platinum p2

:G2/P2 White Power Supply (sleeved kit)

:CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (4 x 4GB) ddr4 2666

:optical drive(un-sure) depends on room left in Case

Water Cooling parts list

:Ek supremacy Evo full Nickle cpu block(not ordered)

iamond cooling full nickle GPU water block(pre-ordered)

ump: EK-D5 PWM + EK-XTOP D5(undecided)

:Reservoir (undecided)

:Radiators Alphacool NexXxos ST30 360mm & Alphacool NexXxos Ut60 240mm(undecided)

:tubing Masterkleer 1/2inch UV white

:Fittings EK-CSQ Black EKWB - 1/2"ID-3/4"OD (undecided)

:Coolant (unsure)

:Rad fans Corsair Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition (undecided)

I am looking to save money but at the same time get quality parts for my build.. If it comes to spending a $100 dollars on compression fittings so be it.. I'm from Nova Scotia,Canada and majority of parts listed in my selection are from overseas and the cost is quite expensive.. The GBP conversion is 1.81 to the canadian dollar= lots of $$$$.. I'm willing to pay this if that's what it comes to but i'm hoping Linus tech comunitions can show me some other options.. The only company that has a few options for water cooling based in Canada with decent prices that I could find was http://www.dazmode.com but they only carry mostly bitspower and ek related parts.

The questions I have are: Should I go with thicker rads on the top and front of the case? Will I have enough room in my case with thicker monsta rads with Corsair Air Series SP120 High Performance added? Is this enough cooling for cpu and gpu with decent overclock on both?

How much 1/2 inch id tubing should I get? rigid or flex tube? The d5 pump from what i have read is the pump to get but is that enough for my loop even if I add another gpu to the loop later on?

I am looking for black compression fittings that are high quality and black nickle plated that will not brake the bank and if there are local meaning cad/usa that will save me the conversion rate and shipping costs..

All of the parts I have listed above(minus the gpu water block) i'm more then willing to change based on your suggestions and saving some money. If there is anything I might have left out or parts that I'm forgetting please let me know.. I'm a nub when it comes to water cooling and need some help.. Looking forward to hearing from all of you..

Is that gpu block specifically for the hof 980? I believe the hof is not a reference pcb so make sure the block is built for that exact card.

are you planning to do push+pull or just pull for the fans on the rads you should be able to find exact specs on max rad size on the case manufacturers website. From a quick look at images I see a 240 thin rad in push pull in the top so a thick rad in pull should be just fine and the front once you take out the hd cages will have plenty of room for what ever rad you want.

The general rule is 120+120 per component so you could get away with just the 360 but if you plan to oc or add a second gpu it would be best to add that second rad.

Are you quite handy? I am assuming this is your first time watercooling so unless you are confident in your abilities to measure, heat, and bend rigid tubing it is probably best to go with flexable tubing. Plan out your runs to get an estimate on length but probably 8 feet would do depending on the run.

d5 pumps are great just make sure it is either threaded for fittings or will fit your flex tubing.

If you can order from the US try frozencpu I ordered everything from them.

That psu is overkill I'm running a 5820k and dual 980s comfortably on a 750w even with OCing so you can save some money there. The dominator ram is pricey take a look at the corsair vengeance or gskill ripjaw ram for a cheaper option.

Hopefully this helps you.

I am the one who goes bump in the night... usually making a sandwich.

Case: Phanteks Enthoo Primo White - Motherboard: ASUS X99 Deluxe - CPU: Intel i7 5820k - RAM: 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance 2666mhz ddr4 - GPU: Dual EVGA gtx 980 SSC - PSU: EVGA G2 Supernova 750w - Cooler: Custom PETG Loop on cpu and gpus - Storage: 500gb Samsung 850 evo ssd, 2x Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 3tb hdd

Thanks for the reply, so the gpu block is a full waterblock specially made for the hof 980. Its made by http://www.diamondcooling.co.uk/ .. they are hopefully shipping by the end of the month. I know the top of the case can hose a max of 360mm and front 240mm to 280mm.. Probably stick with the 240mm in the front and 360mm in the top.. Top will be in push and maybe the front push pull config.. The one thing i wasn't really sure of was how thick of a rad i could put in the top and front..But the front I'm thinking I can put a monsta rad if needed but the top i'm not totally sure. Mostly likely thin like you said with pull config!

I am handy (well to a certain extant) but i'm pretty sure I will be staying away from rigid tubing.. I actually like the look of flex tube rather rigid. I was more worried about fittings? What are the most reliable and easy to work with..tooless would be a bonus but no biggie.. The tubing lengths witch you answered me and thickness of the rads, The D5 laning pump looks like a great option.. Should i purchase that anywhere type of deal, did certain d5 pumps work better such as variable speeds?

I have looked at http://www.frozencpu.com/ many times but never really have dealt with them before..

The ram is not set in stone but you are right I could save my self close to 150 cad going with some of the ram you talked about in your reply.. I just liked the look of it and it has nice performance from what I have read.. And the PSU was overkill but I have already ordered it and is being shipped as we speak.. Got it for a good deal and was only 20 more then the 1000 watt.

I just have the jitters is all when ordering the watercooling parts because it is out of my norm.. But on the other hand i'm quite excited to build it! I'm hoping that some other people read this topic that have a corsair 760t case and have already went through this and will lend some tips to make some things easier..

Thank you very much for the reply, it's much appreciated.. Anything else you can think of such as do's and don'ts will be great, i'm sure that I will have many more questions when the parts start rolling in.. watching videos and reading endlessly for weeks is much more different then doing it hands on. Thanks for the help and look forward to more responses
