The hard drive has Windows vista

When changing the motherboard you have to reinstall windows.

Honestly I would just save until you have more money to build a better system, honestly with the Pentium g3258, because later down the road you can upgrade into an i5, but if you don't want to do any upgrading then the 5350 all the way

Or the FX 4300/4350 if he rather want go AMD,

A quad core is in most cases better, Since with a dual core CPU it is more common with FPS drops and stuttering in games that make use of quad cores.

But when it comes to indie games The G3258 is superior.
