Issues with Razer Deathadder

Go to solution Solved by Polyvalent,

Razer quality probablly

sounds more like a sensor issue which isn't manufactured by razor.

I'd RMA it and get another.

I recently bought the Deathadder because I heard it has one of the best optical sensors which is useful for CSGO which is the primary game I play. It feels a lot more precise than my old mouse although I am having issues when I move the mouse quickly.  Whenever I move the mouse quickly it seems to not register the majority of my movement and my crosshair moves very little although my mouse has moved a great distance. This was not an issue with my old mouse the Gigabyte m8000x. This is both ingame and on my desktop. I tried cleaning my mousepad which is a Steelseries QcK+ and that didn't seem to help although I don't know if I cleaned it well enough.

TL;DR

Mouse doesn't register quick movements.

Mouse: DeathAdder

Mousepad: Steelseries QcK+

Any help/ideas are greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Razer Deathadder 3.5G

Using the mouse at 400 DPI

possibly try changing the polling rate in synapse? it could be you have it on an unstable setting. Just a possibility. also maybe try increasing the dpi in synapse and decreasing the sensitivity in CS:go?

I had it at the max polling rate of 1000. I lowered it to the next possible setting which was 500 and the problem was worse.

I will probably do this and mark your response as a solution. Before I do I want to know if the mouse pad could be the issue. The Steelseries QcK+ collects dust in its fibers, is it possible that this could have a huge performance hinderance on the mouse or do you think it is definitely the mouse? I just want to make sure before I send it back.

try it without the mousepad at all and configure it to the surface in synapse and see if that changes anything.

I've got the samemousepad, its quite old, and the same mouse.  Never had any problems.

Is it the 3.5G?

I've got the chroma (2013) which if im not mistaken has an avago s3988 whereas the 3.5g has an s3888.  the sensors are extremely similar.  a sensor of that quality shouldn't be having such severe tracking issues, and it certainly wouldnt have any problems tracking on a QcK
