Intel 3.1 GHz LGA 1150 i5 4440 4th Generation Processor

Intel 3.2 GHz LGA 1150 4570 i5 4th Generation Processor

Intel 3 GHz LGA 1150 4430 i5 4th Generation Processor

OR

Budget is around 200$ (As it becomes 50$+ extra while buying in my country !)

I want intel cz of hackintosh support but if you guys sugget AMD then may go for AMD !

And will there be difference in processor support for apps like sony vegas, premeire pro, photoshop ?

What's the total budget for the build what country do you live in? Remember, a CPU doesn't exist in a vacuum. You'll need to get a motherboard and a CPU cooler, depending on what you get. Also, is this JUST for editing, or will you be trying to game and do other stuff as well?

Else everything is good ! Like gigabyte mobo and no overclocking so may not need cpu cooler ! 95% video editing,5 % normal games which wont be high res !

I'd really recommend an i7 for video editing, any way of holding off for a bit?

4790k is what I recommend, unless $200 was for a whole system.

If you're editing you might want to consider the Intel Xeon E3. It's basically a 4790K without the iGPU and not overclockable (hence the wayy lower price)

There are many E3s. The ones to look at are the E3 1230 V3 and the 1231 V3. That's what I was getting to, but they will likely be outside his price range unless you factor in the cheap H97 motherboard you can use with them and so on. The other problem with them is they lack an iGPU, so if he does do some games and buys a dedicated GPU then it's no problem, otherwise he'd be better off with a real i7 that has an iGPU.

Great ! Can you give the rest combo like mobo, graphics card everything ?

Um... hackintoshing needs a specific mobo, I went with a Gigabyte H81M-DS2V because audio and networking are supported by OS X; there aren't any hacks which can make the system unstable.

I'd recommend checking out TonyMacx86, which has Unibeast and MultiBeast; two programs that make hackintoshing insanely simple.

4790K costs 400$ here ! Too tough. How about i5 ?

I5 aren't as good when it comes to rendering, but it can get the job now, though at a longer duration. If your not gaming, and is on a budget for editing, get a xeon e3 1231 v3 with a b85/h97 board or a fx processor

Remember a wise man once said, "You'll most likely hear/see more bad reviews from products than good, because if they get a good product, they won't bother to write a review, and if they got a bad product, they'll complain about the product" ~ SoftenButterCream
