None. At least on your context.

Malwarebytes is not a replacement for an antivirus (its not an antivirus) it will work along it (on demand on the free version), being this an anti-malware/spyware.

So you can have Norton+Malwarebytes combo on your pc without problems.

I'd rather go AVG free + Mbytes. Norton has been pretty bad from  my experiences.

Or Avast Free 2015+Malwarebytes. Either way OP need to specify what was the reason to compare both (replacing norton, searching for a free alternative, etc).

Nortons detection isn't too bad recently, if you can deal with the resource usage and the occasional false positive, whereas AVG has performed pretty poorly in all areas recently. I certainly wouldn't recommend either of these, but Malwarebytes is a sure bet for cleaning up an infected PC.

This is correct, the free version of Malwarebytes is great for cleaning infected PCs when scans are actively initiated, but doesn't provide any live protection. I recommend you don't just run Malwarebytes unless you are extremely careful, instead you should opt for an active antivirus and keep Malwarebytes for disinfecting if you get a nasty virus.

I'm not always keen on recommending AV as it often comes to opinion and people get into arguments, but I personally advise Avast as a decent free AV. Otherwise just pay for something you have had a good experience with.

Best of luck :)

I currently use the payed version of malwarebytes with live web and filesystem protection (quarantine etc). You think it would be a good choice to pick up Avast?

I believe that the Malwarebytes Premium has active protection. Given this and Malwarebytes good track record I would stick with it. I wouldn't recommend any free AV over a good payed product, payed AV is almost always better(with a few exceptions).

Thanks for answering my question. Never had a problem with Mbytes so I'll be staying with it :)
