I need help with windows 8

I just got my brand new lenovo ideapad y500, yay!, it ships with windows 8 and when i was setting it up i goofed during the email stage and put @gamil.com instead of gmail, how do i change this?

I think you'll have to "Change Profile" in the top right corner of your metro screen [click your profile pic]. Not 100% sure as I neither use the MS account nor the metro screen, but from clicking through it, it looks like that's what you are looking for.

ok, just did that now i need to know how to give the new account admin rights and how do i delete old one

The control panel should have the options you are looking for. If you specifically search for it, you will get to the control panel as you are used to from Win7.

 

Also: Start Is Back will make your WIndows 8 machine a better version of Win 7 :) Worth the 1-1.5$ by far :)

I've given myself two weeks before I installed StartIsBack, Metro really isn't for me, and severely impacts my productivity.

I guess it's personal preference, but at least for myself, I can say that Metro is absolutely useless.

I am working on gathering literature on the UX for Windows 8 for my bachelor dissertation. Perhaps I can find something that will convince me? But as of now, people seem unhappy ^^

Considering it's for your dissertation, you should read into human-computer interaction and whatnot. Here's a good post:

HCI is actually what I wish to master in and what I will be writing my bachelor dissertation in. ^^

Mh I'm currently studying Psychology, and HCI actually is what interests me the most. [Everything else gets me paranoid and wearing a tinfoil hat ;P] ^^

My university offers a Master in Psychology with specialisation in HCI. ^^

Oh very cool. HCI is offered as a specialisation for computer-science. Of course, it does involve the additional psychology and sociology courses needed for that topic.
