So I'm going to start putting together the parts I need for my first custom water cooling loop.  I've watched plenty of videos from Linus and others explaining the process and currently use an H100 so I understand what is needed and the basic does and don't of the install and use and maintenance of the loop.  What I'm wanting to know is if there are any good all in one kits or individual pieces that are overlooked in some of the vids?  Maybe a manufacturer has a really awesome combo set?  What I'm working with is a Corsair 600t and a socket 1155 CPU.  I'd prefer a tube res over a drive bay res (I've heard lots of annoying things about the drive bay res).  I also only want to start off with cooling the CPU and then move onto GPU/s later after an upgrade.  So a pump/rad that can accommodate expansion is probably better.  Any tips, suggestions, links, or anything in the manner of pointing me in the right direction is appreciated.  If I'm overlooking a piece of information that is needed to give any tips then let me know.  Thanks in advance.

Combosets usually are not a very good value, as they put stuff in there noone buys.

Pump: D5.

Res: Bayreservoirs tend to breaky easily, so better get a tube, pump combo or whatever.

Tubing: 3/8" and 1/2" ID [inner Diameter] are very common and usually nice in terms of flow restriction and so on.

CPU Block: I can recommend the Aquacomputer Kryos series, awesome quality blocks. I cannot recommend the Phobya UC2-LT, horrible piece of crap.

Rads: The thicker the better. Rather pick a thicker rad than push+pull.

Compressionfitting > rest.

Aquatuning is a good shop for watercooling equipment.

Frost upon these cigarettes.... lipstick on the window pane...

You should read the 101 and FAQ stickies at the top of this forum section if you haven't already.

I personally prefer 3/8 ID 1/2 OD tubing but whichever tubing size you go with, pick the one with the fittings you want. Its best to let that decide.
