windows wont install

i have the disc and i can get an external disc drive, kinda sucks but if nothing else works. and 2x4gb

Try taking one stick of memory out and running the install, if it doesn't work try the other stick. If/when you get Windows installed install the other RAM stick and maybe run Memtest to see if everything is working okay.

 

If that doesn't work, the disc drive is probably the best way to go.

Did you have to remove a RAM stick to make it work? If you did, put it back in an try www.memtest86.com. I'm not really an expert on memory, so I won't be able to help you with the test results or setting it up, but I'm sure someone on the forum would be able to.
